A born and bred Midwest girl, Laura's passion for nutrition and fitness started at a young age. After several childhood illnesses, she saw how critical proper fueling and physical activity are for overall wellness. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Ball State and a master's in Health Sciences from Indiana State. Maternal and child health and infant nutrition are topics near and dear to Laura's heart, which led her to also become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She spent over 5 years working with parents and children in community nutrition. Laura spent countless hours working one-on-one doing nutrition education with clients, developing community partnerships, precepting interns, and coordinating lactation education and promotion activities.
Laura is an avid runner and has been enjoying training for ultramarathons. She lives with the loves of her life – her husband, children, and a menagerie of rescue animals
